From Bishop Tobin: The Proposed Abortion Law in RI is Immoral. Period.

From Bishop  Thomas J. Tobin:
The pro-abortion legislation that has been introduced in the RI General Assembly this year (HB 5343) is an aggressive attack on innocent human life. Don't be confused or intimidated by the hysterical rhetoric of some of the bill's sponsors. The legislation is immoral. Period.
Rhode Islanders must be vigilant and vocal in opposing abortion. It is a cruel and violent practice that always ends the life of a child and also violates women, personally and spiritually.
Consider very carefully what the Word of God tells us in this Lenten Season: "Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live." (Dt 30:19)
