(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) – The National Grid Foundation will make a major donation to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence for its ‘Keep the Heat On’ heating assistance program on Thursday, February 16 at 11:00 a.m., at the Chancery office building, One Cathedral Square, Providence. This donation is the fourth major gift that the heating assistance program has received from the National Grid Foundation. Bob Keller, President of the Foundation, will present an $80,000 check to Bishop Thomas J. Tobin.; President and COO of National Grid Rhode Island, Tim Horan, will be attending the presentation of a donation

ABOUT KEEP THE HEAT ON PROGRAM
Sponsored by the Diocese of Providence since 2005, ‘Keep the Heat On’, provides heating assistance to Rhode Islanders who have exhausted all other public and private forms of assistance. The program has raised more than $2.55 million to help more than 11,500 Rhode Island families and individuals keep warm in the winter.
