As our nation pauses to give thanks to Almighty God for the many gifts we have received, I pause also to thank you, the members of our diocesan Church for your personal kindness to me and for all that you do to support the Church, spiritually and personally, throughout the year. I am always edified and encouraged by the vitality of your commitment to Christ, and by your example of faith, hope and love!
At this special time of the year I extend my prayers and blessings to all the members of our diocesan family. Wherever you are on Thanksgiving Day, may you enjoy hospitality, warmth, laughter and love. And in the midst of your bounty, don’t forget to give thanks to God from whom all blessings flow. As we say at every Holy Mass: “It is right to give Him thanks and praise!” And indeed it is!
