Extreme Abortion Bill Fails in Senate Committee

By a vote of 5-4, the Senate Judiciary Committee at the Rhode Island State House rejected the New York and Virginia style extreme abortion bill. In a statement, the Very Reverend Bernard Healey, Director of the Rhode Island Catholic Conference, said, "We applaud the Senate Judiciary Committee for their courageous vote this evening in defense of human life and human dignity."
