Celebrating refugee culture

The Rhode Island refugee community celebrated World Refugee Day at Burnside Park in Providence on Saturday. The international observance, officially marked on Monday, June 20, celebrates the culture and recognizes the plight of refugees worldwide. Among the organizations participating in the event was the diocesan Office of Immigration and Refugee Services, which provides legal and other assistance to newly arrived refugees. More.
