Bishop approves new Deacon class requirements

PROVIDENCE — Bishop Thomas J. Tobin approved on Monday, Feb. 1 a change to the requirements for the next class of deacons to be ordained to the Permanent Diaconate. Effective immediately, “Successful applicants must be at least 31 years of age and not older than 56 years of age on Jan. 1, 2016.”
