Marriage Preparation and Enrichment

Among the many blessings that God has showered upon us in Christ is the blessing of marriage, a gift bestowed by the Creator from the creation of the human race. His hand has inscribed the vocation to marriage in the very nature of man and woman (see Gn 1:27-28, 2:21-24).

If you are visiting this page as a newly engaged couple, congratulations! The Office of Marriage Preparation and Enrichment of the Diocese of Providence exists to help you prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage in the Roman Catholic Church.

2025 CELEBRATION
The annual Wedding Anniversary Celebration will take place Sunday, TBD at 1 p.m. in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Providence, RI. Principal celebrant and homilist TBA. Couples observing anniversaries of 25, 40, 50 and more than 50 years of marriage in 2025 are cordially invited to attend and be honored. The 2025 Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes: Holy Mass, renewal of marriage vows, a personalized certificate for each couple, and a reception for the couples and their families and guests.

TO REGISTER
Couples must register through their home parish to participate. Completed forms must be signed by the pastor and returned to the diocesan Office of Marriage Preparation & Enrichment in advance of the celebration (d2025 TBD).
