The diocesan Mass for Our Lady of Guadalupe will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Prior to Mass, the evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Holy Rosary, confession, and a serenade to Our Lady. Senior religious need your help! After a lifetime of ministry for little to no pay, many of their communities are struggling to care for them. The Cathedral Advent Day of Recollection is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and concluding with the 5 p.m. Mass in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Providence celebrated by Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R. This special Advent Retreat Day will include: Reflections (Sacred Scripture), Adoration, Recitation of the Holy Rosary, Confessions, Solemn Vespers (Evening prayer) and 5 p.m. Holy Mass. The day features speakers Rev. Msgr. Anthony Mancini, Cathedral Rector, and Sister Elizabeth Castro, HMSP. Advance registration required, contact the Cathedral to reserve your place, 401-331-2434.

Gather with us to watch "The Chosen" at St. Eugene Parish, 1247 Putnam Pike, Glocester every Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. now through Dec. 13. The Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be visiting our diocese in various parishes throughout Rhode Island from Friday, January 9 through Sunday, February 1. The image is an exact replica of the original image of Our Lady which She left on the Tilma of St. Juan Diego in December 1531. The image is among four blessed at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico by the Rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Monroy, to bring conversions, reverence for life, sanctity of the family and solidarity of the Church in America. The Missionary Images are known to have been associated with many miracles and healings.
