September 25, 2021Couples from throughout Rhode Island will come together to renew their wedding vows on Sunday, September 26 at 1:00 pm in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence. The annual diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass honors couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries during the year. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will be the main celebrant and homilist for the special Mass.
Couples celebrating milestone anniversaries will gather at this annual Mass in the Cathedral and receive a special blessing from the bishop. Many couples are celebrating 70, 60, 50, 40 and 25 years together.
A reception will follow in the lower level of the Cathedral where the couples will have a photo opportunity with the bishop and receive a personalized certificate in remembrance of this special occasion.
