September 23, 2016(PROVIDENCE)- More than 200 couples celebrating their milestone wedding anniversary will participate in the diocesan Wedding Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, September 25th at 1:00 pm in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul. Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will be the main celebrant and homilist for the Mass.
Couples from all over the state will gather together to celebrate their milestone wedding anniversaries and receive a special blessing from the bishop. Some couples celebrating more than 60 years together.
A reception will follow in the lower level of the Cathedral where the couples will have a photo opportunity with the bishop and receive a personalized certificate in remembrance of this special celebration.
