The celebration of Veteran’s Day is an important moment for us to take the time to express our gratitude to those who served honorably in defense of our nation and its liberties. It is also a day to pray for them, that their wounds be healed, that their losses find consolation, and that their spirits be lifted by the company of their comrades and the gratitude of their nation. Through the intercession of Saint Martin of Tours, St. Sebastian, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and all the soldier saints, may God bless our veterans all the men and women who stand guard today in our armed forces.
