July is the month of the Most Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ

Did you know that the month of July is dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ? Devotion to the Precious Blood is as old as Christianity itself. The early Church Fathers taught that the Church was born from the pierced side of Christ and that the sacraments were brought forth through His Blood. We invite you to take some time during this special month to pray the Litany of the Most Precious Blood with us: 

Litany of the Most Precious Blood
This Litany in honor of Jesus in His Most Precious Blood was drawn up by the Sacred Congregation of Rites and promulgated by Pope John XXIII on February 24, 1960. The devotion to Jesus in His most Precious Blood was first popularized by St. Gaspar del Bufalo (1786-1837, feast Dec. 28) who founded the Missioners of the Most Precious Blood. A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite this litany. Pray here
