The Diocesan Facilities Department provides advice, service and assistance to the parishes, schools, cemeteries and agencies of the Diocese for environmental, life safety, maintenance and construction projects. In addition, the Department provides in-house preparation of specifications and assistance seeking bids for smaller construction projects where the services of an Architect or Engineer are not warranted. The office also provides guidance and assistance to Pastors and Agency Directors in disposition of surplus real estate assets.

The Diocesan Facilities Department provides assistance with Capital projects at parishes and agencies. Working with The Office for Planning and Financial Services, the office provides construction assistance to parishes, schools, cemeteries, and other agencies throughout the Diocese. The professional staff includes an Architect registered by the State of Rhode Island and a staff member holding licenses in Asbestos Inspections, Management and Project Planning.
The Department assists in a consulting capacity with school environmental policies and oversees management of various Diocesan owned properties including the Chancery complex.
